This information about fees is for UK / Home undergraduate students in academic year 2026–2027.

Your tuition fee covers teaching, learning resources, and access to university services and facilities. We’re here to guide you through tuition fees and the financial support available when you study at ͯÑÕÊÓÆµ.

How much will my fees be?

Fees are payable each year and will increase annually in line with inflation.

*The £5,760 fee is for the foundation year only. Subsequent years are charged at the regulated undergraduate fee.

Many courses include the option of a salaried placement year. Tuition fees for a placement year are charged at a lower rate.

Regulated fees

Tuition fees for UK / Home students on undergraduate courses in England are set by the UK government and are known as regulated fees.

From academic year 2026–27 onwards, regulated fees will increase annually in line with forecast inflation. The regulated fee will be £9,790 in academic year 2026-27 and £10,050 in academic year 2027-28 (subject to parliamentary approval).

Student Finance England loans for tuition fees and for living costs will also rise in line with inflation.

What's included in my fee?

Your tuition fee includes essential aspects of your course, such as:

  • teaching and learning materials
  • uniforms and protective clothing (where required)
  • specialist software and access to industry-standard facilities
  • compulsory study trips and fieldwork.

You’ll also have access to university support services, libraries, and digital resources.

Student loans

UK/Home undergraduate students studying their first degree can apply for two types of loan:

  • Tuition Fee Loan – covers your annual tuition fees
  • Maintenance Loan – helps with living costs

You start repaying loans only after you have graduated and when earning above the threshold, which is currently £25,000 per year. Repayments are based on the amount you earn and deducted automatically from your salary.

You apply to the student loans company, who will pay your tuition fees directly to the university.

Maintenance loan for living costs

The amount you receive depends on household income.

For academic year 2026–27, the maximum maintenance loan is:

  • £10,830 if you are living away from home, outside London
  • £9,118 if you are living at home

Students eligible for certain benefits may qualify for higher rates.

Additional funding from Student Finance England


  • If you have a disability you may apply for a DSA grant. This grant is non-means-tested, and non-repayable. DSA is available to full-time and part-time students.

  • Full-time undergraduate students with children or dependent adults may apply for the relevant grant(s). These grants are means-tested and include other eligibility criteria.

Funding for nursing and allied health courses 

Students on eligible pre-registration degrees (nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, diagnostic radiography) can apply for the NHS Learning Support Fund, which includes:

  • £5,000 training grant per year
  • Additional non-repayable support

The NHS Learning Support Fund (LSF) is non-means-tested and you do not have to repay these funds.
