Portfolio requirements

Thank you for your application to the 童颜视频.

To complete your application, we would like to see an online portfolio of your work.

Your online portfolio needs to be submitted as a single website link on through Your Tasks.

Check out our advice and guidance on how to create and present your portfolio.

We recommend you send us your portfolio link as soon as possible, but at least within three weeks of receiving our request.

Architectural and Urban Design MA

Your portfolio should be a maximum of 20 pages / images showing examples of projects from previous or current academic studies and including recent work you may have undertaken in practice.

Please note and take into consideration that it is useful for the course leader to see your range of representational skills as well as your approach to design.

Architecture RIBA Part 2 MArch

Please can you provide us with a sample portfolio of around 20 images compiled into a single document such as a combined PDF file to support your application.

Fine Art MA

Your portfolio should contain 15–20 images of your work, to include evidence of ideas in any format, for example: paintings, drawings, sculpture, site-specific artwork, links to audio works, stills and/or links to video work, performance, sketchbooks. It is useful to include images showing how you generate and develop ideas, and how you are passionate and inquisitive about the subject.

Interior Design MA

Your portfolio should be a maximum of 20 pages / images showing examples of projects from previous or current academic studies and including recent work you may have undertaken in practice.

Please note and take into consideration that it is useful for the course leader to see your range of representational skills as well as your approach to design.

Photography MA

Your portfolio should contain: 

  • 15-25 images of photography work demonstrating independent creative exploration of ideas
  • moving image work, although this is not a requirement
  • awareness of the current context for contemporary photographic practices within the visual arts
  • evidence that you can explore an idea through the development of a body of photographic work. 

Please also include a 500-word Personal Statement. We would like you to think about: 

  • how will studying at MA level benefit your creative development
  • what would you like to tell us about your current and former practice
  • how will your practice develop over the duration of the course
  • will you be developing a project you have already initiated, or departing from your existing practice
  • how would you demonstrate your current knowledge of historical and theoretical literature on photography
  • why have you chosen to apply for the Photography MA at the 童颜视频.

Sequential Design/Illustration MA

Portfolio

Your portfolio, together with your project proposal and personal statement will enable us to determine your suitability for the course.

The portfolio should contain a minimum of five projects (approximately 30 images in total). This work can be from academic, self-initiated or professional practice. Please include a brief, written explanation of each project and include edited visual documentation of your experimentation, exploration and thinking and making process. If you would like to include video, web projects or other media, please provide links in your portfolio.
