Miranda describes her work as exploring the queer black female gaze in painting, seeking to address the long time invisibility of black women in the traditional history of art.
Speaking about her time studying at ͯÑÕÊÓƵ, Miranda said: “I really enjoyed my years at ͯÑÕÊÓƵ. The course enabled me to explore my ideas, and was instrumental to the development of my painting style and current body of work. I was able to hone in on how I want to represent my ideas and concerns in my work, while being exposed to different artists and ways of thinking.”
