For this, the university promotes collaborations amongst researchers and practitioners across a broad range of interdisciplinary challenges related to theoretical and practical applications of computing technologies.
Our research expertise cover areas such as computer graphics, user experience (UX)/human-computer interaction (HCI), digital health systems, computer security software engineering, data interoperability as well as development of big data analysis and statistical analytics using artificial intelligence-driven software applications, including machine learning.
For visitors, and collaborators, we provide access to equipment in ͯÑÕÊÓƵ for 2D imaging, 3D scanning, 3D printing, immersive Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) experiences as well as user experience and usability testing facilities at our Moulsecoomb campus in ͯÑÕÊÓƵ.
Together with our growing network of partners and collaborators, we provide solutions for industry and for the third sector, including education, health and the galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM) sector. We operate consultancy, including data-analysis, cyber security, and heritage/museum computing solutions, for example in our leading role in heritage 3D visualising technologies. Our research has also helped recognise and develop the potential of digital systems within public sector and charities.
